On Dec. 19 CNN aired a special report “Weed 6: Marijuana and Autism” with Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

The report presented several families with kids with severe autism. When there is no conventionally prescribe medication that works, some researchers and parents have found that specially grown cannabis does work.

One family in Texas treats their child, and deals with the legal risk of visits from Child Protective Services, and maybe loss of custody. The reluctance if the state to allpw medical marijuana without formal trials, which are starting, is covered.

But the response of the girl to inhaling is striking, as her need for repetitive motion stops.
