"The Lion King"; "The Chronicles of Narnia"; "Duree"; the lion character Aslan as a role model

A few interrelated items about 'The Lion King'.

I saw the Disney animated film The Lion King in 1994 directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, with inspirational music by Hans Zimmer. Restored trailer follows:

It tells the story of Simba the Lion, who is falsely accused of his father's death, and goes into exile and discover his true self, before returning to take the throne rightfully. There is lot about what constitutes self-worth in the script and story as I remember it.

I have not seen the 2019 film.

A distantly related movie is the 2005 Disney film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, based on the 1950 children's novel by C.S. Lewis, in a series. During the blitzkrieg in the Battle of Britain during WWII, children are evacuated to an estate outside London, and through a secret door enter a magical world of Narnia, where they ally with a lion Aslan (voiced by Liam Neeson) to fight the White Witch Jadis (Tilda Swinton). But this leads me to a discussion of the name Aslan, as a rather honorable one. The YouTuber John Fish has the middle name of Aslan. I suppose it is good to be named after a lion, and that big cats really gave a good name in our culture. We are back to recognizing the amazing special intelligence of cats as favored animals.

John uses his middle game on Amazon for volumes of Duree, the longest book in the world, poetry written by artificial intelligence. Meriem Chiadmi explains for CBC, 'Inside the wacky creations of a Montreal AI Dreamer', link, talking about a project John took on during his gap year from Harvard while living in Montreal 2019-2020. The Covid pandemic came and John then worked on a project to make ventilators.

Above, a video from late 2019 where John explains how he generated this series of volumes with AI.
